Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To usually restrict the operation of a base isolation device for a building to prevent vibration due to wind pressure force, and release the restriction of the base isolation device when a great earthquake happens, to positively operate the base isolation device.
SOLUTION: With this trigger device 1 for operating a base isolation system which slides a building A horizontally relative to the ground G to absorb earthquake force, the trigger device 1 for the base isolation system is made up of a locking member 4 for restricting the relative horizontal movement between a part 2 of the building A and a fixing member 3 installed on the ground G, and a supporting member 5 for usually supporting the locking member 4 at a prescribed position, and moving the locking member 4 to release the restriction above-mentioned when a vertical seismic vibration over a fixed value is applied.
