To provide a trimmer device so improved that accurate trimming can be performed.

This trimmer device comprises a conveying part for conveying a booklet double-folded at the center portion in a predetermined conveying direction with the folded part positioned at the head, a holding part disposed on the downstream side of the conveying part in the conveying direction, holding the folded part of the booklet conveyed by the conveying part in the thickness direction, and reciprocatingly moving along the conveying direction, a trimming part disposed between the conveying part and the holding part and trimming the edge of the booklet on the opposite side of the folded part, and a control part for performing the trimming operation by the trimming part by moving the holding part to a position predetermined according to the size of the booklet with the holding part holding the folded part.
