PURPOSE: To surely separate remainder parts from a main body part even when the former lies near the latter by pressing a main body part of a formed article held by a holding means in one direction and separating the main body part from the remainder parts.
CONSTITUTION: A key rotor 1 is extruded out of a casting machine and its main body part 2 is inserted into a supporting cylinder 16 capable of insertion and extraction of a 1st die 15 as a supporting means. The remainder parts 6, 7 are inserted into a pair of slits 17, 18 extending in the axial direction to insert the end parts. The plate part of the 1st die 15 provides a storage groove 15 which interlocks the internal part of this supporting cylinder 16. A piston 36 is penetrated by a hydraulic cylinder 35 on the right side of a main frame 11 into the supporting cylinder 16 to press the key rotor 1 toward a trimming hole 28 of a 2nd die 27. In this way, the remainder parts 6, 7 are separated from the main body part 2 and the main body part 2 only is discharged from the trimming hole 28. Accordingly, the remainder parts 6, 7 can be separated surely from the main body part 2.
