Abstract:
PURPOSE:To focus the lens to objects of long, middle and short distances by providing a spherical face in contact with the cornea on the rear face of the lens and a spherical face which applies the refractive degree of a long distance optical region on the front face of the lens and embedding a small lens having the radius of curvature and refractive index to impart the refractive degrees of the middle distance optical region and the short distance optical region between the two spherical faces. CONSTITUTION:This lens is made into a prism shape which is thin at a vertex 5 and is thick at a base point 6 and is divided to three regions; the long distance optical region 1, the middle distance optical region 2, and the short distance optical region 3. Namely, the short distance optical region 3 near the thick and heavy bottom point 6 comes into contact with the lower eyelid and exists in the lowermost part when the lens is worn on the cornea. The thin and far long distance optical region 1 maintains the determined position, angle and height in the upper part and the middle distance optical region 2 in the intermediate thereof. If, therefore, a user moves the visual line from the object existing far to the object existing at the middle distance, the eyeball moves downward while allowing the lens to remain on the lower eyelid. The pupil moves to the middle distance optical region 2. Further, the pupil moves to the short distance optical region 3 when the visual line is transferred to the object on a disk existing at the short distance. The focus is matched with the object existing at the middle distance in this way and even the objects existing at the long distance and the short distance are visible.
