Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a triterpene compound having strong anticarcinogenic promoter activity and useful for the treatment and prevention of cancer on an industrial scale at a low cost by culturing a callus cell induced from the plant body of sesame.

CONSTITUTION: A callus cell induced from a plant body of sesame is cultured to obtain the objective compound of formula. The part and growth stage of the plant to be used in the above process is preferably e.g. sprout.
