Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a tritium elimination method and device capable of simplifying the adsorption recovery system, reducing equipment cost, placing area and operation cost and improving operation capability.

CONSTITUTION: A tritium elimination device has a compressor 2 to compress the purification object gas including tritium coming from a purification object 1, a reactor 6 to make tritium water through the reaction of the tritium in the compressed purification object gas with oxygen and a adsorption unit 8 to adsorb and eliminate the tritium water by using a plurality of adsorbers 8a, 8b by turns. The purified gas outlets of the plurality of the adsorbers 8a, 8b are connected each other with a recovery gas supply path 20 having a heater 21. On the recovery gas outlets of the adsorbers 8a, 8b, a circulation path 30 for circulating the gas after the adsorption recovery to the suction side of the compressor 2 is provided by way of a dewatering device constituted of a cooler 32 for cooling and dewatering processing and a drain 33.
