Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a steering mechanism and a drive wheel mechanism, and to move a locus which is approximate to a trochoid curve by contact point movement, for achieving off-road stable travel in all orientations.SOLUTION: A trochoid drive mechanism 1 comprises: four action parts 20 respectively having an axle 22 to whose tip end a wheel 23 is fixed; a motion mechanism part 30 for moving the axle 22 on a ground by gyrating movement; and an inclination mechanism part 40 for inclining a turning central axis of the gyrating movement. Each of the wheels 23 moves with a locus in which a contact point between it and the ground is approximate to a trochoid curve by the gyrating movement.
