Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify structure without causing hindrance to the inclined roll of a power roller by providing a bush between a roller support member and a pivot, equipping at the pivot a thickness removing hole to extend along a sphere where the bush is arranged.
CONSTITUTION: This CVT is equipped with a roller support member 7 to support at its one end pivot 5 to retain a power roller 3 rotatably; and a hydraulic cylinder to roll the power roller 3 incliningly and in a friction engagement state by moving the roller support member 7 ascendingly/descendingly. Especially, between the roller support member 7 and the pivot 5, a bush 9 to retain the pivot 5 rotatably is provided. Also, the pivot 5 is equipped with a thickness removing hole 5a that extends along a sphere where the bush 9 is arranged. As a result, when the rigidity of a bearing portion is reduced by means of the thickness removing hole 52, the pivot 5 is also deformed and the rise of local surface pressure at both ends of the bush 9 is restrained in a case in which the thrust load of the power roller 3 is added to the roller support member 7 and bending backward is brought on.
