Abstract:

To provide a high-conductivity high-strength copper alloy conductor for a trolley wire, capable of reducing electrical wear on low-speed sections of existing railroad lines at a low cost without using Ag.

The trolley wire contains ≥0.05 mass% but <0.1 mass% In and the balance being Cu and unavoidable impurities and has a tensile strength of ≥400 MPa and an electric conductivity of ≥95% IACS.
