Abstract:
To provide a trough for molten metal which reduces the wearing rate of the trough material by suitably selecting the materials of the trough material and an outer surface refractory.
In the trough for molten metal having the trough material 1 arranged at a portion contacting with the molten metal and the outer surface refractory 2 arranged on the outer surface of the trough material, the trough material is a graphite-containing refractory having 3-20 wt.% graphite and the outer surface refractory is combined of one or more kinds of the graphite base refractory, SiC base refractory and Al2O3 base refractory.
