To provide a truck type transport device equipped with a back-push running division 3 provided at the inlet with a back-push type driving means 5A to propel a transport truck 1 at a constant speed and at the outlet with a driving means 5B for braking to send off the truck 1 at a constant speed and also with a high-speed running division 4, capable of solving the problem associated with an erroneous stop of the truck 1.

The truck type transport device includes a truck coupling device (truck coupling means 9, coupling starting means 10, and uncoupling means 11), and trucks 1 foregoing and following are coupled together by this coupling device in such an arrangement that the coupling is made impossible when the trucks 1 run in the high-speed running division 4 and the trucks 1 foregoing and following with the ends abutting to each other are hindered from separating a certain distance or more only when they 1 run in the back-push running division 3.
