PURPOSE: To provide a truss for an escalator, which can eliminate the necessity of welding for installation of the truss, and which can be surely supported in its intermediate part to a building structure even though the gap between the truss and the building structure is narrow.

CONSTITUTION: A truss 10 provided with a block-like support bed 11 at the lower surface of its intermediate part, is supported on a receiving part 9A in a building, through the intermediary of an intermediate receiving bed 12 and an adjusting plate 13. The intermediate receiving bed 12 is composed of a bed plate 14, a pair of opposite L-like support members 14 secured to the bed plate 14, press bolts 16 provided in the upper parts of the support members 15, and a pair of adjusting plate fixing bolts 17, 17 fixed at their lower ends to the bed plate 14 inside of the support members 15, 15.
