To provide a tidal wave shelter which is highly effective in public interests, very familiar, available anytime for 24 hours throughout the year, simple and easy to understand how to operate, very convenient against all tidal waves in whatever levels, helps people protect their lives without the need of running up hills, and even the disabled on wheelchairs are easy to refuge.

The tidal wave shelter is provided with a tidal wave shelter body 1 comprising a refuge room 2 at the upper part and a buoyancy room 3 at the lower part, and at its outer circumference, with auxiliary refuge facilities or a flow-stop enclosure 4 to prevent people having failed to run into the refuge room 2 from being taken by tidal waves or being damaged by drifting articles. Further it is provided with a flow-stop fence to prevent refugees from flowing out of the flow-stop enclosure 4, and a connection rope 6 of which the one end is fixed to the outer bottom of the buoyancy room 3 and the other end is fixed to foundation ground 7.
