Abstract:
To provide a tube assembly type optical cable containing a ribbon unit that can improve water-blocking capability and compression characteristics of an optical cable as well as simplify a manufacturing process of the optical cable and improve economical efficiency of the process.
The tube-enclosed optical cable containing a ribbon unit has a structure comprising a central member coated with a water-absorbent material, one or more tubes surrounding the center member, and inclusion coated with a water-absorbent material and inserted into empty spaces between the tubes and a sheath surrounding the tubes.
