PURPOSE: To perform taking in and out of a tube to upper and lower radius simply in a short time by performing holding of tube end by a liquid pressure type tube end press using an upper half die that moves vertically by a flexible link and a lower half die on a press table.

CONSTITUTION: A lower half die 5 is fixed to the press table 2 of a C-type press frame 1. Liquid pressure type clamping cylinders 6, 7 are fixed in the upper part of the frame 1, and upper levers 9, 10 of a flexible link are pivoted to piston rods 11, 12. Lower levers 13, 14 are pivoted to a crosshead 3 to which a lower half die is attached. Push pull rods 19, 20 are connected to the piston rod 18 of a piston cylinder unit for driving the flexible link 17 through a joint 21. The crosshead 3 is pushed down strongly by the action of the clamping cylinders 6, 7 and piston cylinder unit 17. The tube end is fixed between the upper half die 4 and lower half die 5, and thread cutting and sleeve welding are performed. The crosshead 3 is raised by simple operation to take in and out the tube.
