Abstract:
To provide a tube for a heat exchanger in which the thickness of coating can be thinned more than before, and the corrosion resistance after the brazing is superior, and provide a method for manufacturing the heat exchanger using this tube for the heat exchanger.SOLUTION: The tube for a heat exchanger 1 has a tube body 11, and a coating 2 applied on the surface of the tube body 11. The tube body 11 contains Mn of 0.40-1.7 mass%, Si of 0.15 mass% or less and Cu of 0.10 mass% or less, and the remainder has a chemical composition comprising Al and inevitable impurities. The coating 2 contains: the mixed powder containing Si powder of 1 g/mor more and 4 g/mor less in which the 99% cumulative particle size in the volume reference exceeds 20 μm and 35 μm or less, and Zn-containing flux powder of 1 g/mor more and 9 g/mor less comprising a compound containing Zn; and a binder. The ratio of the binder in the coating 2 is 5-40 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
