PURPOSE: To devise the television receiver such that the viewer feels as if sound were sounded from a display screen by providing a speaker toward the screen of the display device to the tube type television receiver.

CONSTITUTION: A center channel speaker 9 toward a display screen 1a is provided to the lower front face of the display screen 1a of the television receiver 1. A sound 12 from the center channel speaker 9 is reflected on the display screen 1a to cause an imaginary sound source 1c at the depth of the display screen 1a, and it results in as if a sound 13 were sounded from the display screen 1a.
