PURPOSE: To obtain a bio-reactor having decreased contamination with sundry germs and enabling continuous operation, by integrating a bio-catalyst reaction chamber with a separation membrane to form a ring-shaped reactor.
CONSTITUTION: A double-wall tube containing a porous tubular separation membrane 1 made of a ceramic or a polymer is connected with a pump 3 and a pip 2 to form a ring. The pipe 2 is provided with an opening 4 for feeding a raw material and an opening 9 for extracting the liquid mixture of the raw material, a bio-catalyst and a product. An opening 5 for the delivery of a permeated liquid of the separation membrane is opened at the double-wall tube part. If necessary, the ring is connected with a heat-exchanger 6 and a deaeration apparatus 8 and the pipe is connected with an oxygen-supplying pipe 7.
