To provide a fiber-reinforced composite material tubular body having a high torsional strength, which can be suitably used as a fishing rod or the like.
The tubular body is made by laminating a plurality of fiber- reinforced composite material layers. The tubular body comprises a layer A obtained by arraying a fiber reinforcing direction at an angle of 0 to 10° with respect to a main axis of the tubular body, and a layer B obtained by arraying the fiber reinforcing direction at an angle of 10 to 95° with respect to the main axis of the tubular body. The tubular body satisfies formulae of 200≤E≤950 (1), IS≥-0.24E+190 (2) and T≥-0.11E+100 (3), wherein E (GPa) is a tensile elastic modulus of the reinforcing fiber of the layers A and B, IS (MPa) is a surface shearing strength of the fiber-reinforced composite material obtained by heating and curing the layers A and B, and T (MPa) is a 90° tensile strength.
