To provide a tubular container which can more securely perform the positioning of a cap member.

This tubular container 1 has a tubular member 14 and the openable/closable cap member 10. The cap member 10 is provided with a fixing section 11 on which a female thread section 28 is formed, and an openable/closable lid section 12. The tubular member 14 has a root side cylindrical section 52 on which a male thread section 40 is formed, and a front end side cylindrical section 55 which is located on the front end side more than the root side cylindrical section 52. Then, the front end side cylindrical section 55 has a part of which the outer diameter is smaller than that of the root side cylindrical section 52, and a first abutment section 46 is formed on the outside of the part. In the meantime, a second abutment section 47 is formed on the cap member 10 at a position corresponding to the first abutment section 46. When the cap member 10 is attached, the second abutment section 47 abuts on the first abutment section 46 of the tubular member 10, and the positioning at a predetermined position becomes possible.
