To provide a tubular lining material which eliminates the nonuniform heating of a liner substrate comprising composite materials including thermoplastic filament and reinforcing fiber filament, and to provide a regeneration method for an existing tube using the lining material.
In one embodiment, the lining material 1 includes a liner substrate 2 comprising composite materials including thermoplastic filament and reinforcing fiber filament and an outer face covering material layer 3a arranged outside the liner substrate. The outer face covering material layer 3a is formed of a thermoplastic material with its melting point higher than that of the constituent material of the thermoplastic filament of the liner substrate 2. In regeneration of an existing tube 5, the liner substrate 2 is heated and softened at a temperature below the melting point of the thermoplastic material in the outer face covering material layer 3a, and pressurized from inside with a diameter expanding means, causing the lining material 1 to be molded into a tubular shape along the inner circumferential face of the existing tube 5 for lining.
