Abstract:

To provide a tunable capacitor obtained by using a material having a large change in dielectric constant for an electric field.

In a tunable capacitor utilizing a large dielectric tunability in the electric field induced phase transition of a ferroelectric substance and in the vicinity of a critical point thereof, the dielectric tunability T satisfies T≥80% when an electric field is 0-10 kV/cm. (The dielectric tunability T is represented as T=(ε(0)-ε(E))/ε(0)×100(%). ε(0) and ε(E) represent dielectric constants at a zero electric field and an electric field (E), respectively.)
