Abstract:
PURPOSE: To exactly control the melt flow from a tundish.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus has a flow rate control means 74 comprising a movable plate means 75 having plural outlet openings 52 for transmitting the melt and plural apertures 76 which can be correctly overlaped on these outlet openings 52 at spaced intervals in such a manner as to allow the passage of the melt flow from the outlet openings 52 and actuator means 91, 92 which move the movable plate means 75 so as to allow the adjustment of the flow rate from the outlet openings 52 and move the respective flow apertures 76 between the positions where the flow apertures overlap correctly on the outlet openings 52 and the positions where the outlet openings 52 are closed.
