To provide a technique capable of more improving the quality of a continuously cast metal sheet.
A tundish 20 comprises: a vessel part 14 to be charged with molten metal 27 fed to the space between a pair of rollers 15, 16; a molten metal feed passage 24 communicated with the vessel part 14; and at least one planar member 22 interposed in the molten metal feed passage 24, and provided with a plurality of through holes through which the molten metal passes. By this tundish 20, the molten metal 27 passes through a plurality of the through holes formed at the planar member 22, so as to suppress the turbulence of its flow. When the molten metal 27 in which the turbulence of the flow is suppressed is fed to the space between a pair of the rollers 15, 16, the quality of a continuously cast metal sheet 30 is improved.
