To enable a program, the broadcast schedule of which is changed, to be automatically recorded rightly to the end or reserved video recording or viewed even when the broadcast schedule is changed.
This program information change notification apparatus comprises: an SI (Service Information) information receiving means for receiving SI information that is information of a program to be broadcasted; an SI information storage means for storing the received SI information; an SI information comparing means for comparing SI information already stored in the SI information storage means with SI information newly received by the SI information receiving means; an SI information change means for changing contents of SI information by storing the newly received SI information in the SI information storage means in a case where the SI information comparing means judges that the newly received SI information is not present in the SI information storage means; and a program information change notifying means for judging that information of the program is changed, and notifying a fact of the program change in a case where the newly received SI information is not present in the SI information storage means.
