Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device while improving the reliability of excavation works in a tunnel boring machine.
SOLUTION: A cutter head 12 capable of being driven and rotated by a cutter-head driving means is installed in front of a drum 10, a parallel link mechanism 23 is built between the drum 10 and a press ring 19 disposed at the rear of the drum 10, a main beam 33 in which one end section is supported by the drum 10 in a rockable manner while the other end section is extended to a rear, penetrating to a press ring 19 is mounted, and a rear gripper 31 having a plurality of gripper shoes 32a-32d and receiving excavation reaction by holding the position by press-contacting with the interior wall surface of an existing tunnel is set up to the main beam 33 while an erector device 51 for temporarily assembling a timbering and a carrying expansion device 71 for the temporarily assembled timbering are fitted.
