Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002170401
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To make it possible for a vehicle driver to visually recognize obstacles existing inside a tunnel even when the road in a tunnel has a low road surface reflection factor.
The tunnel lighting fixtures comprise a Probeam lighting apparatus A that is disposed at a position 1 meter high or lower from the road surface, at 0.6 meters high for example, and directs the main light toward the direction in which vehicles move and at least downward lower than the first height, and a symmetrical illumination apparatus B that is disposed at a position 3 meters high from the road surface or higher, such as, at 5.1 meters high, and directs light in the front and reverse directions of the vehicles move, both in approximately symmetrical directions.
