Abstract:
To provide a simple means for applying a shape of microcircuit in the design of an airfoil.
An airfoil portion 10 of a turbine engine component includes a first airfoil half portion 12 and a second airfoil half portion 14, wherein a microcircuit 120 is cast or machined on an exposed internal wall surface of the first airfoil half portion 12, whereas a microcircuit 120' is casted or machined on an internal wall surface of a second airfoil half portion 14. After inspecting the microcircuits 120, 120', the first airfoil half portion 12 and the second airfoil half portion 14 are butted to each other, thus constituting an air foil portion 10 of a gas turbine engine component.
