Abstract:
To create a new type turbine inflow housing.SOLUTION: A turbine inflow housing (10) of axial flow turbine of turbocharger includes: a flow inlet side end part (11) for forming a flow duct (15) in which a cross section of an outside wall (13) of the turbine inflow housing has a circular shape; a flow outlet side end part (12) for forming a flow duct (16) in which cross sections of the outside wall (13) of the turbine inflow housing and an inside wall (14) of the turbine inflow housing have an annular shape; and a rib (17) by which the outside wall (13) and the inside wall (14) of the turbine inflow housing are connected with each other. In the turbine inflow housing (10), between flow guide surfaces (18, 19) extending between an inflow side (21) and an outflow side (20) of each rib (17) and between the outside wall (13) and the inside wall (14), the rib (17) has an average distance corresponding to at least 1.5 times of the thickness of the outside wall (13) of turbine inflow housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
