To provide a method for constructing a turbine pedestal in good workability and excellent work environment, and enabling reduction of a construction period.

The method for constructing the turbine pedestal includes a process installing a mat 7 of a turbine building with concrete and installing foundation bolts 13 for the turbine pedestal on the mat 7, a process installing a lower column 15 of the turbine pedestal on the mat 7, a process assembling a turbine pedestal module 17 integrating a part of an intermediate beam 14 and an upper column 16 of the turbine pedestal, piping 4 arranged near the intermediate beans 14 and the upper column 14, a support 5 and a pedestal 6 on ground, and a process pulling up the turbine pedestal module 17 and connecting the same to the lower column 15 of the turbine pedestal. The columns and the beam of the turbine pedestal has steel plate concrete structures.
