Abstract:
To provide a turbine and a power generation device, which can continuously generate power only by energy obtained from a fluid in the natural world.SOLUTION: A turbine 10 has an outer peripheral surface 20a arranged to face the flow of a fluid F, and includes a rotary drum 20 rotatable about a rotation axis 90 that extends along a horizontal plane perpendicular to the direction of gravity, and a plurality of turbine blades 30 that are arranged adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction over the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum 20 to rotate the rotary drum 20 by force received from the fluid. Each turbine blade 30 is coupled to the rotary drum 20 to be rotatable between an open position P1 where the turbine blade is deployed to spread outward in the radial direction of the rotary drum 20 and receive a fluid pressure from the fluid by a pressure receiving surface 30a thereof in a direction of rotating the rotary drum 20, and a close position P2 where the pressure receiving surface 30a is laid down to almost face the outer peripheral surface 20a of the rotary drum 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
