Title:
TURBINE ROTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5970804
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent cracks at a key seat owing to corrosion and have sure torque transmission by such a construction that wheels on the steam incoming side of a turbine rotor are coupled with each other and that the wheel located in the undermost stream among the above-mentioned is detained with the shaft by a key. CONSTITUTION:Wheels 3 situated in the upper stream are coupled with their adjoining wheel through a coupling member consisting of a wheel radial key 8. If the wheel on the steam incoming side has loosned, the torque applied to this loose wheel is transmitted over to the shaft 1 through the adjoining wheel. If all wheels have loosened, the torque is transmitted to the shaft through a wheel detained with the shaft by a wheel bore key 4 situated in the undermost stream. Thus there is no need to use any steam incoming side key seat 6, so that fear of crack generation owing to stress corrosion can be eliminated. Here a radial key seat is formed at the side face of a hub of the wheel, but this part has little fear of crack generation to be caused by stress corrosion. The undermost stream is detained with the shaft by a key 4, that can be embodied by conventional structure because this part has little fear of crack generation to be caused by stress corrosion.
