Title:
TURBINE VANE COOLED BY REDUCTION OF LEAKAGE OF COOLING AIR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004251280
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a turbine vane capable of reducing leakage markedly and its manufacturing process.

This turbine vane of a turbo machine has a porous liner 18 for delimiting an annular cavity 20 between an external wall of the liner and an internal wall of the vane 10, an intake opening part 24 for supplying cooling air into the liner, and an exhaust opening part 28 for exhausting a part of cooling air from the vane. One end 18A of the liner is fixed to the vane so that the liner slides along an inner fringe 16A of the vane under relative thermal expansion action between the liner and the internal wall of the vane. The other end 18B of the liner is a free end. An annular clearance 21 between the free end of the liner and the inner fringe of the vane includes a recessed part 30 for generating head loss in a leak region so that the leak region for cooling air is delimited and flow rate of cooling air passing through the leak region is reduced by the inner fringe.
