Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo compressor attaining downsizing of a device, and having a wide utilization range.SOLUTION: A turbo compressor 1 includes an electric motor 20, a speed increasing machine connected to an output shaft 21 of the electric motor 20, and impellers 13, 14 rotating through the speed increasing machine. The speed increasing machine is a magnetic gear device 30. The magnetic gear device 30 has a magnetic wave gear 31 in which a stator 40 having a plurality of permanent magnets 42N, 42S, a high-speed rotor 50 having a plurality of permanent magnets 52N, 52S, and a low-speed rotor 60 having a plurality of magnetic pole pieces 61 are arranged concentrically. The low-speed rotor 60 is connected to the output shaft 21 of the electric motor 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
