Abstract:
To provide a turbo engine 9, or a large diesel engine 9, of similar or lower manufacture cost, and higher efficiency, provided with at least one turbocharger step 1, at least one power turbine 2 for using excess exhaust mass current 3 branched at the turbocharger step 1, at least one oil pump assembly 7, and an electric machine 6 mechanically coupled to the power turbine 2 through a transmission device 4, and electrically connected to a power supply part 8.
In the turbo engine 9, the oil pump assembly 7 is mechanically coupled to the electric machine 6, and a coupling release device 5 is provided to release mechanical coupling between the power turbine 2 to the electric machine 6.
