To suppress a swing by a recirculating flow at the inlet of a vane and a stall of swing of the vane by circumferentially forming, in the inner surface of a casing, a plurality of grooves with a specified width or narrower connecting a vane inlet side into a vane present area on the inner surface of the casing in the direction of gradient of a fluid pressure.
In a turbo machine suppressing a swing by vane inlet backflow, a shallow groove 124 is formed in the direction of gradient of a fluid pressure ranging from the middle part (a)(end position of groove in downstream) of a vane 122 on the inner surface of the casing 121 to a position (b)(end position of groove in upstream) where recirculation flow occurs at a low flow rate. Thus, the fluid pressurized by the vane flows backward through the groove 124 from the downstream end position (a) of the groove to the upstream end position (b) of the groove, and blows out at a position, where the recirculation flow occurs, produced at the time of low flow rate so as to prevent a swing by recirculation flow and a stall due to swing of the vane from occurring.
