Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo refrigerator improved in performance by enhancing freezing performance while suppressing a cost.SOLUTION: A turbo refrigerator includes: a centrifugal compressor 10 which compresses coolant W by rotations of impellers in plural stages having a plurality of blades: a condenser 11 which cools the compressed coolant W; expansion valves 25, 26, and 27 which are connected in series and decompresses the coolant W from the condenser 11 to be a gas/liquid two-phase; an evaporator 15 which evaporates the coolant W from the expansion valves 25, 26, and 27; a plurality of economizers 14 which is disposed between those expansion valves 25, 26, and 27, and separates the coolant W into the gas/liquid two-phase; and an inflow pipe 23 which allows an air phase W1 separated from the coolant W in one economizer 14 to flow into between a front edge and a rear edge of a blade in a main channel between the adjacent blades of one impeller, and allows the air phase W1 separated from the coolant W in another economizer 14 to flow in a step between the impellers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
