To provide a turbo type fluid machine for reducing a quantity of a fluid leaking from a clearance formed between the tip of a movable vane and a bar body.
This turbo type fluid machine has a plurality of movable vanes 21, and a driving mechanism 23 for rotating the movable vanes 21 by a rotary shaft in the direction turning to the bar body 19 from the inner surface of a suction passage 5, and is constituted by arranging a polygonal part 25 formed in a polygonal shape having a parallel surface on the tip of each movable vane 21 in a part of the bar body 19 opposed to the straight line-shaped tip of the movable vane 21 when the surface of the movable vane 21 is in a closed state of vertically crossing with the extending direction of the bar body 19. Thus, when the movable vane 21 is in the closed state, the clearance between the tip of the movable vanes 21 and the outer peripheral surface of the bar body 19 can be narrowed to reduce a quantity of the fluid leaking from the clearance formed between the tip of the movable vane 21 and the bar body 19.
