Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a turbocharger.
SOLUTION: A hull 14 and a deck 15 are formed in a watertight fashion for a small planing boat; an opening portion in the deck is plugged with a seat 12 to form a cabin space 16; air intake ducts 18, 19 for allowing air outside a ship body into this cabin space are provided; and an engine 20 and a turbocharger 140 that is connected to an exhaust manifold of the engine 20, are provided in the cabin space 16. The turbocharger 140 is disposed at a level above openings 18a, 19a of the air intake ducts in the ship body. In addition, a water jacket is formed in a casing of a turbine of the turbocharger and an oil jacket is formed in a bearing casing thereof. Cooling water is supplied to the water jacket, while cooling oil is supplied to the oil jacket. The cooling water is supplied to the water jacket through a turbocharger cooling water passageway provided, independently of other coolant passageways.
