Abstract:
To propose a revolving angle detection device that enables highly accurate detection of a revolving angle of an upper mechanism relative to a lower mechanism without requiring major modifications to heavy machinery having a revolving mechanism.SOLUTION: The revolving angle detection device includes: an inertial sensor 3 that detects the angular velocity or angular acceleration of an upper mechanism 12; angle calculation means 4 that calculates the revolving angle of the upper mechanism 12 based on the angular velocity or angular acceleration detected by the inertial sensor 3; a detection body 5 fixed to a lower mechanism 11; a detection sensor 6 fixed to the upper mechanism 12; and angle correction means 7 that corrects the revolving angle calculated by the angle calculation means 4. The detection body 5 is installed at a position rotated by a predetermined angle around a rotation center line from the origin. The detection sensor 6 outputs a detection signal when it passes by the detection body 5. The angle correction means 7 corrects the revolving angle calculated by the angle calculation means 4 based on the predetermined angle when the detection signal is output from the detection sensor 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
