To provide a turning device for a metallic wire for measuring a wire diameter, wherein the diameter of a metallic wire having a diameter of 0.2 mm or more and even the diameter of an extra fine wire can be accurately measured without requiring experienced skill and technique and the measuring workability can be markedly improved.
The turning device for the metallic wire for measuring the wire diameter comprises the following components: two columns 6a, 6b mounted vertically at a specified interval on a device base; a pair of right and left side brackets 8a, 8b mounted on the opposite face of the column 6a, 6b, where turning axis lines X are on the same line; fixing jigs 9a, 9b for a wire to be measured, which are arranged at positions off the turning axis X on the brackets 8a, 8b; a pair of positioning jigs 10a, 10b arranged so that a wire to be measured W is extended along the turning axis line X between the fixing jigs 9a, 9b; and disengagement preventive jigs 11a, 11b arranged respectively between the positioning jigs 10a, 10b and the fixing jigs 9a, 9b.
