Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a grinding operation and grinding efficiency by controlling the ascending and descending cylinder of the running burring device in the flash weld zone of a continuous rolled round billet in accordance with the turning position and the self-weight of the device so that the pressing force of a grindstone to the part to be ground becomes prescribed largeness.
SOLUTION: Grinding devices 13a-13c are arranged with 120° each shifted in the turning ring surface making the round billet the central axis, and respective turning zone A1-A3 are made to be 130° and mutually overlapped by 10°. Ascending and descending cylinders 14a-14c are installed to respective grinding devices 13a-13c, and feeding oil pressures ρ1, ρ2 are controlled by a control system to make the pressing force constant. The constant pressure is always applied to respective rod side parts with a balancing valve regardless of the turning angle, whereby the descending of the grindstone due to the self-weight is prevented and the evacuating operation is also executed by this pressure. Also, the head side part is pressed so that the self-weight plus the rod side pressure is denied and the prescribed pressing force is obtained in accordance with the turning angle.
