To provide a turning wheel for a bearing, which can increase a margin of strength of attachment of a serrated bolt into a bolt insertion hole when a wheel-side nut is tightened, a bearing device for a wheel, which is equipped with the turning wheel for the bearing, and a method of manufacturing the turning wheel for the bearing.
The bearing device 1 for the wheel includes shaft-like barrel parts 6a-6c that are made of a cold forged component having an outer raceway part 60c for rolling rolling elements 4 and 5, and a flange 60a for the attachment of the wheel, which has the bolt insertion hole 600a provided integrally with the barrel part 6a and allowing the press-in and insertion of the serrated bolt 8. In the flange 60a for the attachment of the wheel, a softened part 9 having hardness lower than the surface hardness of the shaft-like barrel parts 6a-6c of the flange 60a for the attachment of the wheel is provided at least on the inner surface of the bolt insertion hole 600a and in a region corresponding to serrations 8a of the serrated bolt 8.
