Abstract:
To provide a turret lathe, which machines using a small-diameter cutter required to rotate at high speed, and improves the productivity, and also to provide rotary tool and fixed tool for use in the lathe.
This turret lathe includes a main driving shaft 14 for driving in rotation a cutter X1 of the rotary tool 3 fitted to a tool mounting part 2A of a turret 2. The lathe includes a power generating means 11 for generating power by the rotation of the main driving shaft 14. The rotary tool 3 includes: an electric motor 8 operated taking the power generated by the power generating means 11 as a power supply; and a tool body 9 having a cutter holding part 9a rotated by the operation of the electric motor 8.
