PURPOSE: To make improvements in the operation rate of a winder by attaching plural pieces of turret tables to one frame, and selecting plural pieces of filaments almost simultaneously at the time of changing bobbin holders at respective winding sides over to these at the standby side.

CONSTITUTION: Turret tables 3A-3D with each of bobbin holders 4, 4' are rotatably and vertically set up in a frame 2, and each of these bobbin holders 4, 4' is rotated and driven by a common driving power source through synchronous driving motors 23, 23'. Then, packages 38A-38D are formed in bobbin holders 4A-4D or 4'A-4'D at the winding side as traversing each slider 8 with a stepping motor 14. Next, if each holder comes to fullness, the turret tables 3A-3D are rotated as far as 90 degrees by a motor 37, and bobbin holders 4'A-4'D or 4A-4D at the standby side are moved to the winding side, and filament yarn Y is automatically selected, starting its winding. Thus, a floor space for a winder is reducible and, what is more, improvement in an operation rate is thus promotable.
