To provide tweezers capable of providing nipping and holding force required for maintaining a nipping and holding condition of a nipped and held object stably and continuously.
Nipping and holding parts 2, 3 of the tweezers 1 are elastically displaced into a closed condition, and a projection 2d in the nipping and holding part 2 is inserted into a hole part 3d in the nipping and holding part 3. After nipping and holding the object A to be nipped and held by the nipping and holding parts 2, 3, a locking member 4 is moved in the direction for locking it into the projection 2d and a locking piece 4a is locked into a channel part 2e of the projection 2d inserted into the hole part 3d to rectify the nipping and holding parts 2, 3 into the closed condition in which nipping and holding of the nipped and held object A are maintained and maintain the nipping and holding condition of the nipped and held object A by the nipping and holding parts 2, 3. On the other hand, when the locking member 4 is moved in the direction for releasing its locking into the projection 2d and the locking piece 4a of the locking member 4 is pulled out of the channel part 2e of the projection 2d inserted into the hole part 3d, the nipping and holding parts 2, 3 return to an opened condition in which nipping and holding of the nipped and held object A are released elastically to release nipping and holding of the object A.
