To provide a twin-wire paper machine to apply a dandy action on a paper slurry from above and below, and form good base.

The twin-wire paper machine 10 has a lower wire 12 traveling in front of a head box 11 ejecting a paper slurry and an upper wire 13 approaching the lower wire 12 from above to sandwich the paper slurry. An upstream dandy roll 21 is placed at the inner side of the upper wire 13 at the joint part of the lower wire 12 and the upper wire 13 and a downstream dandy roll 22 is placed at the inner side of the lower wire 12 downstream of the joint part of the lower wire 12 and the upper wire 13.
