To provide a twin-wire type combination former capable of making multi-variety paper-laminated paper using a single paper machine with a short former section.
The twin-wire type combination former is provided for making multilayer paper which has a laminated structure comprising multi-variety sheets of paper made using a former A2 for forming a reverse layer, a former B2 for forming an intermediate layer and a former C2 for forming an obverse layer respectively. This combination former has the following construction and mechanism: The formers B2 and C2 are set up against each other above the former A2 so that the directions of advancing wet sheets of paper formed by the corresponding formers are opposite to each other. These formers A2, B2 and C2 are constructed as roll shoe type twin-wire formers respectively and improved in dewatering ability, therefore being secured in high-speed operability, shortening the lengths L4 of the respective forming sections for forming the wet sheets of paper corresponding to the respective layers, thus shortening the whole length L1 of this combination former.
