To provide a twisted wire manufacturing method capable of accurately manufacturing a twisted wire having a desired twist pitch; and to provide its device.
In this twisted wire manufacturing device 1, both ends of two wires A, A arranged in parallel with each other are held by a pair of wire holding parts 3, 3, the twist pitch P of the wires A, A is monitored by photographing it by a photographing camera 7 while twining the wires A, A by relative rotation of the pair of wire holding parts 3, 3; whether the twist pitch is a predetermined value is determined by a determination device 8 based on the image information photographed by the photographing camera 7; and twining operations for twining the wires A, A and untwining operations for untwining the wires A, A are repeated several times until the pitch is determined to be the predetermined value; and thus the twisted wire B having the desired twist pitch P is manufactured.
