Abstract:
To provide a twisting apparatus capable of detecting breaking of a wire while heightening operational efficiency, and a method of detecting breaking of a wire of a twisting apparatus.SOLUTION: A twisting mechanism 6 has a twisting port 60 for collecting a plurality of wires running in a running direction (X direction), and a positioning part 61 arranged at a front stage of the twisting port 60 in a running direction, and for arranging a plurality of wires around a rotational axis R along a running direction which passes through a center of the twisting port 60. The twisting mechanism 6 twists a plurality of wires by rotating the twisting port 60. An image sensor 4 photographs a region between the twisting port 60 and the positioning part 61 as a photographing region from the running direction. A braking wire detecting part detects breaking of a plurality of wires by analyzing a photographed image from the image sensor 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
